About the tournament
The Chile Open is a key stop on the South American clay swing. The ATP Tour returned to Chile in 2020 for the first time since 2014, bringing the event back to Santiago at the center court of Club Deportivo Universidad Católica. The tournament has deep roots in the country, with earlier editions held in Santiago (1993–1998, 2000, 2010–2011) and Viña del Mar (2001–2009, 2012–2014). Home champions include Fernando González (2002, 2004, 2008, 2009), Cristian Garin (2021), and Nicolás Jarry (2023).
