First staged in 1972, the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships holds the distinction of being the longest‑running ATP Tour event in Asia. This ATP 500 tournament takes place at Tokyo’s Ariake Colosseum, a premier tennis complex featuring 48 courts and one of the sport’s earliest retractable‑roof stadiums. Among its champions is Japan’s own Kei Nishikori, who claimed the title in both 2012 and 2014.
