About the tournament
The Grand Prix Hassan II began as an ATP Challenger event in 1984 and became an ATP Tour tournament in 1990. The event is fully funded by Morocco’s King Mohammed VI. Relocated from Casablanca to Marrakech in 2016, it remains the only ATP Tour stop on the African continent. Two Moroccan players have won the title at home: Hicham Arazi (1997) and Younes El Aynaoui (2002).
