About the tournament
The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first of three ATP Masters 1000 tournaments played on clay and one of the most iconic stops of the season. The event celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006 and is a long-time favorite among players and fans thanks to the Monte-Carlo Country Club setting and its tradition of champions. Rafael Nadal owns the tournament record with 11 titles, including an Open Era-best eight consecutive championships from 2005 to 2012.
