About the tournament
The Miami Open presented by Itaú is a 12-day ATP Masters 1000 event featuring many of the world’s top men’s and women’s players and has become one of Miami’s signature sports weeks. The tournament was named ATP Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year from 2002–2006 and again in 2008. After 32 years at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, the event moved to Hard Rock Stadium in 2019, where Roger Federer won the first title at the new venue by defeating John Isner. In 2022, 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz captured his first Masters 1000 trophy in Miami, becoming the youngest champion in tournament history.
